Job Description

Assists in the load out/rig up/rig down of wireline and associated pressure control equipment under the direct supervision of the assigned Field Engineer.

Assemble and make ready tool strings with minimal supervision.

Safely drive and operate company vehicles and equipment to and from job locations.

Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to DOT and wireline explosives operations.

Perform all tasks in accordance with applicable customer and company policies, safety guidelines and industry standards.

Clean, operate, and maintain wireline truck, crane truck, company vehicles, tools, & equipment.

Troubleshoot, redress, rebuild and maintenance tools and equipment in the shop and in the field.

Actively participate in Safety Meetings and attain proper safety training and certifications as directed.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements for Wireline Field Operators:

Must live within 1 hour or a 60-mile radius of Wichita Falls, TX

Must be 21 years of age or older and have ability to pass BATFE Background check in order to obtain Employee Possessor status.

Previous wireline and or oilfield experience “preferred”.

Must Have Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL Class A or B.)

Clean MVR, no prior felonies.

Ability to pass and conform to regular Drug and Alcohol Testing.

Must have flexibility to work schedules based on business needs and dispatch to work sites as job requires.

Must Have a high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Ability to stand, bend, squat, crawl and walk; may have long periods of standing or sitting.

Must be able to lift minimum of 75lbs and work in demanding conditions.

Can tolerate physical/manual work, outdoors, and sometimes in extreme weather conditions.

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written.

Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents.

Basic writing, math, and computer skills.

Job Description

At Mustang Wireline, the Field Engineer (FE) will oversee the daily operations of their assigned equipment and personnel. The FE is responsible for facilitating a safe work environment and ensuring the overall successful job execution. The FE is expected to display a high level of leadership and will also manage and mentor the assigned personnel/crew. The FE will maintain and develop strong customer relations while both promoting and representing Mustang Wireline in a positive and professional manner. The FE reports directly to Operations Management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Understand and adhere to all company/customer policies and procedures.

Safely drive and operate company vehicles and heavy equipment to and from job locations.

Responsible for job load out/rig up/rig down of wireline and associated pressure control equipment.

Responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of assigned equipment

Understanding compliance and regulations applicable to API RP-67 Recommended Practices for Oilfield Explosives Safety.

Oversee and promote safety awareness, administer JSA’s, ensure proper safety practices and attain proper safety training and certifications as directed.

Provide supervision, technical assistance, and training to Field Operators.

Must be a “Team Player”, display leadership, and work well with others to ensure the operator’s well procedures and goals are met.

Complete and turn in all job-related paperwork and well logs.

Effectively report and communicate daily operations to management

Other duties as assigned by Management

Knowledge and Skills Requirements for Field Engineers:

Two (2) year Field Engineer experience preferred

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to make ready and perform a broad range of perforating and mechanical services in various field locations.

Ability to perform general cased hole logging services such as Cement Bond logs, Gamma Ray Logs, Gamma Gun, and correlation logs.

Ability to troubleshoot tool, equipment, and truck related issues.

Ability to read and interpret documentation and communicate this information effectively.

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to practical wireline situations.

Wireline pressure control experience and knowledge.

Understanding of DOT Regulations hazmat and shipping papers.

Ability to demonstrate leadership and properly mentor Field Operators/Crew.

Willingness to continue to learn and develop skills.

Ability to think quickly and apply problem solving skills to situations as they come up in the field.

Qualifications:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Ability to pass and conform to regular Drug and Alcohol Testing
